POLICIES
Thank you for honoring the policies that keep our small business a sustainable space for the collective.
Policies are always in effect and apply equally to our community.
Late Policy
We understand there are various reasons that are out of your control that may cause you to be late. Unfortunately we cannot allow you to attend class if you are more than 10 minutes late. It is disruptive to class, your fellow students, instructor, and it is unsafe for you to miss the warm up. You will not be refunded your class credit if you are denied entry. You are allowed to stretch and wait if you are attending another class. If there is someone on the waitlist in line to attend class they will be given your spot after 5 minutes. Please allow yourself ample time to find parking and get settled into the studio before the start time of your class.
Cancellation & No Show Policy
The late cancel window for classes closes 24 hrs before the scheduled start time. Please be sure to cancel your class within the allotted time to avoid being penalized. Exceptions to this rule are only made due to injury or medical illness with a doctor’s note. Our policy is always in full effect, including first visits.
Those attending classes on class packages will forfeit a class for each late cancel or no show.
Unlimited members or those on an Unlimited New Client Offer will be charged $20 for each late cancel and $25 for each no show.
Private lessons must be cancelled within 24 hours to avoid being fully charged.
New clients must have a card on file to cover cancellation and no show fees. In the event that a cancellation or no show transition is declined the client will have to settle the unpaid charges with in 24 hours in order to keep their spot for any upcoming classes they might be registered for.
Waitlist Policy
Our online registration system may add you to class within a 3 hr window of the class’ start time. If you are on the waitlist you assume full responsibility for removing yourself within the allotted 3 hour waitlist window & checking your waitlist status. You will receive an email notifying you of your class registration in the case you have been removed from the waitlist
Scheduling
Classes
Due to the high demand of our classes advanced registration is required. You are not guaranteed a spot unless you register in advance. We recommend you register for your classes as far in advance as possible, preferably 1-2 weeks out minimum. If you choose to walk in without registering your spot is not guaranteed. If space is available you will be given a spot. Walk ins are on a first come first serve basis. SDPDA reserves the right to make changes to the class schedule at any time based on resources and instructor availability.
Private Lessons
Advanced payment is required for all private lessons. If you are paying cash you must have a card on file. Payment must be received within 24 hrs of your scheduled lesson. If payment is not received by the 24 hr deadline your lesson is forfeited and automatically cancelled. If you are more than 20 min late your lesson will be forfeited.
Refunds and Transfers
All purchases are non-refundable as well as non-transferable. Make sure to note the expiration date for all purchases.
Cancellation of Membership
All memberships are a 3 month commitment unless otherwise stated. Once your membership comes to the end of it's 3 month term it will auto-renew on a month to month basis. Memberships require 30 days written notice from your contract’s auto-renew date to cancel, no exceptions.
Instruction
Students are not allowed to instruct or spot other students. If someone asks you for assistance direct them to the instructor immediately. Only moves being taught are permitted to be executed. Moves you are not familiar with require instructor permission and assistance. Studio staff and instructors attending classes are there for their own personal growth not to instruct. Designated assistant teachers in training are the exception.
Filming and Photography
As long as it is not disruptive to class you are allowed to film and take pictures. Be sure to respect the privacy of those around you. Please ask for permission and obtain consent when posting any content with others in the background of your videos or pictures. Keep in mind not everyone is open about their pole life. You may only film the instructor with permission. Filming and taking photos can be done at any time during open pole.
Drugs and Alcohol
Drugs and alcohol are not permitted in the studio. Those attempting to attend class under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund.
Hygiene
Scents and body odor can become overwhelming in the studio space so practicing good hygiene is required. If you need to freshen up before or after class you can find spray deodorant and baby wipes in the bathroom.
